Born
September 11th 1962, in Los Angeles California, Christina
Ann 'Kristy' McNichol began her acting career with television commercial
work at the age of 6. Ten years later, by the time she celebrated
her sixteenth birthday, she
would be one of the most popular and
recognizable teen
stars in the nation. She
could be seen everywhere, from
the covers of books and magazines to posters, dolls, t-shirts, records,
even
making appearances on all three of the major television networks.
Throughout
a career that would span nearly three decades she would appear in
many acclaimed television and movie productions, a
highly successful top ten rated TV comedy, and
would receive numerous
awards, nominations and critical accolades for her performances.
Kristy has now retired from the entertainment industry, leading
a quiet, normal life away from the world of Hollywood.
