Kristy's best moments in
1976 - 1980

It would be quite a task to try to list every "Kristy McNichol Moment" in the series Family. This multi-award winning drama was a showcase for this talented young actress and offered her numerous opportunities to "show her stuff" nearly every week. This was the program that earned Kristy her two Emmy® Awards but more importantly gave her the chance to really hone her acting abilities and to rise well above the expectations that we would normally have for child actors. So I guess in that regard you could consider the entire series a "Kristy McNichol Moment".

With that said, I give you some of my personal favorite episodes, some of Kristy McNichol's (Letitia 'Buddy' Lawrence's) best moments from the series Family...
Season One
Pilot (The Best Years) - Buddy, eavesdropping on her parents fight, overhears something she wasn't supposed to which sends her on a rampage.
A Special Kind of Loving - Willie is spending all of his time with his new girlfriend, which causes Buddy to be jealous, she looks for a chance to sabotage their relationship.
Thursday's Child - The christening of her nephew forces Buddy to finally come to terms with the death of her older brother that had occurred years before.
Point of Departure - The Lawrence family is robbed which forces Buddy to realize that her safe little world is not quite as safe as she had once thought.
Season Two
Home Movie - Willie is making a home movie, which causes problems for the entire Lawrence household, but especially for Buddy who is also having problems at school.
Jury Duty - As her mother is involved with a high-profile murder case Buddy enters into a skateboarding contest and also first becomes interested in a boy.
Jury Duty Part II - When Kate causes a mistrial for a murder suspect the entire Lawrence family must pay the price including Buddy who is being watched by a mysterious stranger with unknown intentions.
Skeleton in the Closet - Buddy discovers that an elderly neighbor must steal food in order to get by. Buddy tries to find a way to help the lady without hurting her pride.
Taking Chances Part II - After Doug is blinded in an accident Buddy becomes increasingly hostile towards her father when he refuses to have a risky operation that might restore his sight.
